An original game from BATTLESHIPGUNS.COM that plays out battleship-on-battleship action which could have happened, yet never did. BATTLESHIP COMBAT 1944 has the USS Iowa intercepting the IJN Yamato which has sortied to attack the US invasion fleet off Leyte Gulf in October 1944.
This easy to play dice game has you battle your opponent for ten salvos and exchange hits which may, or may not, be defeated by armor. Damage from hits affects your firepower - but not your armor. It’s all up to a roll of the dice! Two individual laminated game boards make it easy to play anywhere.
Fun to play with friends and family. The nicely illustrated dry erase game boards make for simple understanding of the game. Get your son or grandson away from their screen and have them learn a bit about 20th century naval history.
Game consists of:
- (2) laminated game boards
- (2) dry erase markers
- (2) felt erase cloths
- (10) dice
Designed and printed in the USA
NOTE: Historical accuracy of this game includes the game board for the battleship IJN Yamato being illustrated with the “rising sun” flag of the Imperial Japanese Navy.
